P.S. Apologies for my recent absence, unfortunately, I was taken ill. I think that's the first time I've ever typed the phrase "taken ill." How antediluvian of me.

he never gained wisdom because most of what he discovered he found was actually nonsensical, but he did overcome desperate confusion. to me, that in itself is non sensical.

Is this the essence of his work?

Oh and he was friends with Brahms who we all know had an outstanding beard.
